Job summary

An opportunity has arisen for a FTC 6 month Warehouse Support person to work within the Trent & Derwent Logistics Department. This vacancy is located in DERBY as part of the Derwent Logistics Team working 37.5 hours per week - 7.5 hours per day - Monday to Friday.

Main duties of the job

You will be part of a team that provide an efficient high quality records management service. This role will include receiving, bar coding, input, scanning , picking and dispatching medical records in accordance with Information Governance legislation and Trust Records Management guidelines utilizing the O'Neil records management software.

There is also a requirement to work at height and provide other warehouse duties including the receipt of stock.

You must have good customer service skills, an ability to follow tasks and instructions and have good physical mobility.

Derwent Logistics is the Derby based team that provides a Transport and Archiving Service for Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust.

We hold accreditations in quality management system (ISO 9001) and in environmental management system (ISO 14001).

The team comprises of 34 colleagues who take pride in the Logistical and Archiving services that they provide to the NHS, and strive for excellence and continual improvement.

Full induction training will be given.

The role will include:

Daily Picking medical records and boxes from the warehouse environment for clients, so this means quite a repetitive working day.

Working at height is essential, so a Cherry Picker licence will be required, full training will be given.

The use of a hand held PDA scanner will be required to be used daily to support the service.

Manual Handling and Physical Mobility will be key to this role, as some of the goods will require heavy lifting.

Communicating with a range of staff and peers on a regular basis.

Working throughout the day without direct supervision with good organisational skills working to deadlines.
