Job summary
This post is eligible for a Golden Hello payment of £2,750 for new starters who are external to the Trust. This is payable in 3 instalments over a 2 year period. This payment is only eligible to new starters who do not already hold a contract of employment with the Trust. This post also includes paid enhancements for unsocial hours working during night, weekends and bank holidays.
An exciting development opportunity has arisen for an experienced CYP Wellbeing Practitioner to join Community CAMHS to offer leadership, support and supervision to the WP team within CAMHS as a Senior CYP Wellbeing Practitioner.
The post-holder will work within the CAMHS Specialist service to support the delivery of high-volume low intensity interventions, which will be a range of cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) based guided self-help interventions, to children and young people and/or parents of children with mild to moderate anxiety disorders and depression.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to provide leadership, direction, development, and delivery of evidence based low-intensity interventions. The post holder will also facilitate and monitor the transition of cases between low-intensity and high-intensity step-up in line with NICE guidance and the stepped care model.
In addition to carrying a clinical caseload, the post-holder will support and supervise newly qualified and trainee CWPs. This is an opportunity for CWPs who are excited by the low intensity role to contribute towards the development of both the service and existing staff.
The post holder will support the review and prioritisation of referrals through regular screening and risk reviews. The post holder will also provide liaison between GP's, schools/colleges and the wider Primary Care team including social care and other agencies. The service will operate flexibly to facilitate a client centred approach to accessing the service
