An exciting opportunity has arisen within Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust for a Psychologist working within our Community OPD service across Nottinghamshire. We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person to support the ongoing delivery of the core consultation and the IIRMS (Intensive Intervention Risk Management), offering a mix of consultation, supervision, training and time limited intervention. We would welcome applications from newly qualified psychologists with relevant experience who we will support on a 12- 24 month preceptorship programme from band 7 to 8a.
Main duties of the job
You will work with a specialist multidisciplinary team providing psychological assessment and treatment for a variety of presenting problems. You will work within a large team and be supported by senior staff experienced in providing a range of psychological approaches for this population. As part of the role, you will contribute to the development and evaluation of specialist treatment programmes, tailored to the offending behaviour needs of this population. You may be required to provide clinical supervision and support to junior psychology and other staff. You will be encouraged to conduct service-relevant evaluation / research and promote services as a centre of excellence.

- MSc or Doctorate in Clinical or Forensic Psychology.
- Must be HCPC registered and able to demonstrate eligibility for registered status as a Clinical or Forensic Psychologist.
Desirable
- Chartered Clinical or Forensic status.

Work Experience

- Experience of working effectively in multidisciplinary teams.
- Minimum two years supervised practice developing expertise in forensic clinical psychology practice and in forensic mental health.
