Job summary

Due to the ongoing expansion of the community CAMHS Eating Disorder (ED) team we are able to offer this great opportunity for a highly skilled practitioner to join the team. The ED team are dedicated, highly experienced and are keen to support the development of new staff joining the team. We are a well established team of 26.4 WTE highly skilled MDT members

We are looking to appoint a Band 7 Clinical Nurse Specialist who has a professional nursing qualification and registration.

The post holder will need a sound knowledge and experience of the needs of young people and their families who present with a significant eating disorder and how to apply psychological approaches in their treatment. The evidence-based intervention is FT-AN and it would be helpful for the post holder to have knowledge of this intervention.

You will work alongside colleagues within the MDT to provide evidence-based treatment to the young people and families throughout Nottingham city and Nottinghamshire county who present with a significant eating disorder. The MDT meet on a weekly basis to consider all referrals into the team; discuss assessments and for complex case discussion, of which the post holder will contribute to this and bring their knowledge and expertise to support the team processes and reflections.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will offer specialist assessment and treatment for young people who present with a significant eating disorder. They will provide liaison, consultation and support to other agencies and work closely with our partners in paediatrics, inpatient/wider CAMHS. You will be supported to take on a leadership role to ensure service development and provide leadership cover when required to support the service lead. They will offer support and supervision to more junior colleagues, students, and trainees.
