If so, The Nottingham Centre for Transgender Health (NCTH) are looking for someone who possess confidence, enthusiasm, initiative and a positive approach to teamwork and, most importantly, have a genuine passion for patient care.

This role as a Senior Clinical Nurse Specialist (Band 8a) will be based at 12 Broad Street within the vibrant and LGBT+ friendly Hockley area of Nottingham City Centre with great public transport links.

You will be a key part of the MDT and wider Network delivered by NCTH which continues to evolve and deliver services on a national and local level. We are looking for clinicians who are energetic, eager to develop and are forward thinking with the potential to adapt to change and meet new challenges.

In this role you will have every weekend and bank holiday off, no night shifts plus access to training and continued professional development to broaden your knowledge and experience. In addition there is weekly CPD time, the opportunity to be involved in audits and research and individual and group supervision.

Main duties of the job

You will work closely with other nurses, GPs, Consultant Psycharists, Clinical Psychologists and Speech and Language Therapists to deliver transgender healthcare to patients from across England.

As part of the role you will be responsible for the line management and supervision of Band 6 and 7 nurses as well as undertake assessment and treatment recommendations for transgender and gender incongruent patients. You will work closely with other clinicians in a MDT approach to support our patients and provide excellent clinical, communication skills and evidence of caseload management experience, wishing to develop their skills further in a team leadership position.

In order for you to excel in your role and deliver outstanding work, you will be supported with an annual appraisal and a personalised professional development plan.
