Are you an experienced cancer nurse looking to take a new step in your cancer nursing career?
We are looking for a highly knowledgeable and experienced compassionate nurse with at least 5 years experience of working within cancer care and at least 3 years as a band 6 to join our integrated trust.
We are looking for experience within a leadership role and be able to work autonomously in order to lead a small team based in Yeovil. You will also be required to travel to other sites across Somerset as part of your role.

Main duties of the job
To provide and maintain a high standard of evidence based, patient centred care. To demonstrate excellent interpersonal skills and to develop excellent knowledge base required to work autonomously within the speciality, whist reflecting the philosophy of care.
To support and develop the patient cancer pathway, using the systems in place in the department for a multi-disciplinary approach to patient-centred care delivery, which builds on the philosophy of greater involvement of patients and their relatives/carers by using the Trusts patient and public involvement strategy.
Experienced Band 7 post holders will also provide effective clinical and managerial leadership of the Urology Oncology CNS team, in the absence of the Lead Urology Oncology CNS, which empowers staff to deliver patient- centred, evidence based nursing care.
