Job summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Somerset Audiology Team. We are seeking a reliable, adaptable individual with a positive attitude and a willingness to develop new skills. This role involves supporting a variety of clinical activities as well as delivering essential administrative duties, so flexibility and a commitment to providing highquality patient care are essential.
Main duties of the job
You will be required to work within the Audiology department at Musgrove Park Hospital and once training has been completed you will also be required to work in other community locations. A full driving license and access to a vehicle is essential.
The role will have a variety of duties but will you mainly be required to undertake daily hearing aid repair clinics and follow-up clinics. Much of this work will be undertaken with patients face to face in a variety of locations including community hospitals, GP surgeries and community centres. Some services will be delivered by post or telephone consultation. You will also be required to assist qualified Audiologists during busy clinics as well as providing a full range of admin duties and support to the admin team.
You will need excellent communication skills, a good basic standard of education and an enthusiasm to learn. Good IT skills and a technical aptitude.
It is anticipated that the post holder will undertake a range of training programs to become fully equipped with the skills required for this role.
