Job summary

We're looking for a motivated and organised Administrator to support our Pre Assessment and Admissions teams at Yeovil District Hospital.

This is a great opportunity to play an important part in helping patients prepare for their care and ensuring our services run smoothly.

In this busy and varied role, you'll provide efficient, reliable administrative support, including handling patient information, supporting appointment processes, and helping with daytoday tasks across the departments.

As our services continue to grow, you'll need to be flexible, detail focused, and confident working in a fast-paced environment. If you're a team player with a can do attitude, we'd love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

Deal with day-to-day correspondence, initiating appropriate responses to provide patients, staff and other parties with required information in a friendly and professional manner.Receive telephone calls, accepting messages on behalf of members of the specialty team, taking appropriate action where necessary.Liaise with appropriate personnel in the team to gather and co-ordinate patient information so this is accessible in a timely manner.Participate in team and Trust meetings as requested.

  • NVQ Level 2 in Business Administration or equivalent qualifications/relevant experience.
