We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Occupational Therapist to join our Community Rehabilitation Service based in Frome Community Hospital, Mendip. You will provide rehabilitation in the patients own home assisting them to reach their personalised goals.

Main duties of the job

Provide a high standard of Occupational Therapy within the Rehabilitation services that they are allocated to within Somerset NHS Foundation Trust

Participate in the development of the Rehabilitation Service in the community and within the Community hospital bedded

To provide advice regarding the rehabilitation management of patients to families, carers and other members of the

Carry out duties autonomously but with the ability to seek support and informal and formal supervision from Senior Therapists within the service

Provide support, guidance and training to technical Instructors, therapy support assistants and students

  • Diploma/degree in Occupational
  • HCPC Registration

Desirable

  • Evidence of CPD maintained in a portfolio including attendance at recent postgraduate courses

Experience

Essential

  • Experience of working as part of a multidisciplinary team

Desirable

  • Experience in a Community Rehabilitation Service
  • Experience of lone working

Additional Criteria

  • Must have a car for work purposes
  • Must have a UK driving licence
