We are looking for a clinical fellow doctor (registrar level) in gastroenterology in Musgrove Park Hospital Taunton. Part time applications will also be considered. The post is intended to provide support to the inpatient team as well as experience in outpatients and endoscopy.

Main duties of the job

Support to the inpatient gastroenterology service (including reviewing referrals of inpatients from other teams)

Regular outpatient clinics

Endoscopy training in the relevant modality, if upper GI endoscopy is the main training requirement this will be offered in a high intensity manner with the aim of achieving independent practice (over 250 procedures) in the first 6 months of the post. This will then allow delivery of service lists during the remainder of the post.

Some commitment to the GIM on call rota -- this can be negotiated according to training needs of the successful postholder and the other registrars.
