Job summary

We are looking for a dedicated and organised Band 2 Administrator/Receptionist to join our Community Mental Health Team (CMHT) at Holly Court, Yeovil.This is a key role within the team, providing essential administrative and reception support to ensure the smooth and efficient running of services. You will be the first point of contact for service users, carers, and professionals, offering a welcoming and professional reception experience while managing a variety of administrative tasks. The role requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise workload in a busy environment. You will play an important part in supporting the team to deliver high-quality care by maintaining accurate records, coordinating appointments, and ensuring effective communication across the service.If you are compassionate, organised, and thrive in a role where no two days are the same, we would love to hear from you.

Main duties of the job

  • Act as the first line of contact for incoming calls, taking appropriate information before involving clinical staff.
  • Provide reception services, greeting clients and visitors courteously.
  • Manage incoming and outgoing communications, including post and email.
  • Maintain accurate administrative files, client records, and electronic patient information.
  • Organise room bookings and support meeting arrangements.
  • Assist with data entry and document scanning/uploading to electronic systems.
  • Ensure confidentiality and compliance with Trust policies and procedures.
  • Provide cover for colleagues during absences and support induction of new staff.
