Salary: 109,725 -- 145,478 (depending on experience)
Location: Cross-site -- Musgrove Park Hospital (Taunton), Yeovil
Contract: Substantive, 10 PAs (part-time options available)

We are delighted to invite applications for Consultant Geriatrician posts within our innovative and expanding Care of Older People (COOP) team. You'll join a dynamic group of 17 consultants in a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. We welcome diverse sub-specialty interests and offer flexibility, including job-sharing options.

Main duties of the job
- Provide specialist geriatric care in inpatient and outpatient settings
- Contribute to acute/frailty take and 7-day working
- Lead on clinical governance, quality improvement, and teaching
- Mentor junior doctors and multidisciplinary teams
- Develop sub-specialty interests (e.g., frailty, dementia, movement disorders, surgical liaison, stroke)

- Entry on GMC Specialist Register (or within 6 months of CCT)
- Broad experience managing complex older patients
- Strong communication, leadership, and MDT collaboration skills
- Experience in teaching and supervision
Desirable
- Interest in frailty, dementia, falls, or community geriatrics
- Evidence of service development or clinical leadership
- Experience in research, audit, or simulation-based teaching
