Job summary

Are you a reliable, proactive individual who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a Distribution Team Member to support the smooth and safe delivery of essential items across our hospital site.

Main duties of the job

  • Collecting and delivering items such as patient records, clinical waste, linen, pharmaceuticals, specimens, and more.
  • Supporting clinical teams by ensuring timely and accurate deliveries that directly impact patient care.
  • Responding to urgent requests and working flexibly across day and late shifts, including weekends.
  • Assisting with portering, wayfinding, helipad duties, and minor maintenance tasks.
  • Maintaining high standards of infection control, safety, and confidentiality.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be part of a supportive team that plays a vital role in hospital operations. You'll work across a variety of environments, from wards to helipads, and contribute to patient safety and experience every day.
