Job summary
We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic, self-motivated and with good communication and interpersonal skills to join our Outpatient Pharmacy Team at Yeovil District Hospital.
This is a part-time post, and previous pharmacy experience would be essential.
Main duties of the job
As a Pharmacy Dispenser, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of our dispensary. You'll tailor conversations with every customer to help them feel informed and confident about their healthcare needs, while maintaining a professional and organised environment.
You'll be responsible for:
- Dispensing outpatient and blister pack prescriptions accurately and efficiently.
- Managing stock, including rotation and ordering, and liaising with procurement teams.
- Processing private prescriptions and handling associated documentation.
- Supporting the training of new pharmacy assistants.
- Ensuring compliance with SSL policies and standard operating procedures.
