Job summary
We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Support Worker to join our Home Treatment service based at Priory Health Park in Wells.
The role involves working within a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team who provide rapid assessment and intensive support to service users presenting in acute mental health crisis.
The Home Treatment service work with a diversity of clients with varying mental health difficulties and presentations, as such, this post would provide valuable clinical experience and client-contact for graduates hoping to pursue a career in clinical psychology, psychotherapy or other mental health roles.
We recognise that treatment for and recovery from acute mental illness is best provided in a patients own home and as a service we aim to support this as an alternative to hospital admission.
Main duties of the job
You'll be providing support and time to an allocated group of patients with more complex needs and thus promote their recovery and maintain them in their community environment and assist those who are inpatients in their return home.
You'll assist the professionally qualified team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans.
There is a requirement to work a shift pattern that provides a 7 day a week service, 365 days of the year.
