Do you think like us? Are you a driven and motivated Physiotherapist looking to join an exciting Orthopaedic / MSK team?
This post would suit a band 5 physiotherapist with a minimum of 2 years experience covering three core rotations of respiratory / MSK / neurology who has developed a passion for Orthopaedics/MSK and is looking to progress to their first band 6 role or an experienced band 6 who may be looking for a change or career progression.

Rotations between the orthopaedic team based at Musgrove Park Hospital and MSK at Taunton & West Hub are 9 months in duration. During your MSK rotation you will work with our EPPs who offer mentoring, supervision, and injection therapy. We receive referrals from GPs, the orthopaedic assessment service, first contact practitioners, orthopaedic departments and other Health Care practitioners. Whilst working on the Orthopaedic wards you will assist with high quality physiotherapy service and be supported by expert B7 Team Leads.

We support our colleague development through flexible clinical support, comprehensive in-service training program, protected CPD time. This is to help our team provide the latest evidence based and person-centred care.
Main duties of the job
Provide a high standard of therapy service to orthopaedic patients and musculoskeletal outpatients.
Provide specialist advice regarding the musculoskeletal assessment, diagnosis and treatment for patients referred to the service.
Participate in the development of the Orthopaedic Team and Musculoskeletal Physiotherapy Service.
Participate in the Orthopaedic weekend rota.
Actively participate in their own clinical development.
Act as a source of expertise in the management of musculoskeletal conditions. Provide an advisory service to patients, carers, other physiotherapists, other health care professionals and the primary healthcare team including GPs. Be a fully member of the multidisciplinary team.
Treat / manager through physiotherapy patients on the trauma and orthopaedic wards and elsewhere in the hospital.
Be responsible for the safe and correct use of equipment within the department.
Provide clinical supervision, support and training to peers, Band 5 physiotherapists, students, and exercise instructors.
