Job summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Estates Manager -- Projects to join our Estates & Facilities Directorate. This is a strategic leadership role responsible for the delivery of capital investment programmes, backlog maintenance, and the operational management of construction and engineering projects across our estate.
You will act as the Trust's Clerk of Works, ensuring all projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with statutory and regulatory standards. You'll work closely with the Capital Redevelopment Team, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure our estate remains fit for purpose and supports excellent patient care.
Main duties of the job
- Lead the planning and delivery of capital and backlog maintenance programmes.
- Oversee construction and engineering projects from design to handover.
- Ensure compliance with health & safety, HTMs, and statutory regulations.
- Manage project budgets, risk assessments, and commissioning processes.
- Act as Authorised Person for various engineering services (subject to training).
- Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical teams to minimise service disruption.

- Or equivalent experience;
- Plus, specialist knowledge acquired through an MSc or equivalent experience;
