Job summary

Are you a compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) seeking a new opportunity? We have a Community Staff Nurse position available within the Glastonbury team, based at West Mendip but the team cross-cover the whole area.Our service covers the urban and rural areas of West Mendip, Street to Wells and the surrounding villages. Possible shifts are dayshifts and are usually 8am-4pm, 9am-5pm or 10am-6pm. You'll also work twilight shifts (2pm-10pm) and weekends which are shared between the teams and include additional unsocial hours enhanced payments. There are no night shifts. We offer flexible working solutions where possible to ensure a work-life balance.You'll need to be a car driver with your own vehicle to visit patients. Main duties of the job

As a community RN, you'll provide care to patients in their homes, managing a range of complex health issues and collaborating with various other disciplines.We also work with the Hospital @ Home team, focused on preventing acute admission. You'll develop a broad range of nursing skills, including IV medication administration, palliative and end-of-life care, complex wound management, catheter and continence care, diabetes management, PICC line care, medication administration, and drain tube management.You'll need to make autonomous clinical decisions and create holistic care plans, with the support of your colleagues and Team Leaders. Comprehensive training and guidance will be provided by our dedicated Clinical Lead nurse.
