Are you an organised, detail-oriented individual with strong administrative and typing skills? We have an exciting part-time opportunity (16 hours per week) to join the Cardiac Rehabilitation Team at Musgrove Park Hospital. This vital service supports patients and their families in recovering from cardiac events and helps reduce the risk of future incidents, making a meaningful difference in people's lives every day.
As an integral part of our dedicated team, you will provide a wide range of efficient and effective administrative and typist duties to support both clinical and non-clinical staff. Your work will contribute to the smooth day-to-day running of the Cardiac Rehabilitation service, ensuring patients and their families receive timely communication and support. The role requires flexibility, a proactive approach, and the ability to adapt as the service continues to develop and grow.
Main duties of the job
Deal with day-to-day correspondence, initiating appropriate responses to provide patients, staff and other parties with required information in a friendly and professional manner.Receive telephone calls, accepting messages on behalf of members of the specialty team, taking appropriate action where necessary.Liaise with appropriate personnel in the team to gather and co-ordinate patient information so this is accessible in a timely manner.The post holder will work as part of the Somerset NHS Foundation trust, Cardiac Rehabilitation Team to provide an efficient and high standard of administrative and clerical support. This will include details of data entry, patient letters and managing the office systems.Participate in team and Trust meetings as requested.
