Job summary

This is an opportunity to work with the Tissue Viability team at Musgrove Park Hospital, and we are seeking compassionate people with experience of working in a hospital environment to join our integrated trust.

The post holder will be required to provide specialist care/support/advice and be a key link for staff regarding patients' skin integrity and tissue viability care needs.You will require good communication skills, a team work approach and be able provide a high standard of nursing care with the support of your team.

Main duties of the job

To assess both simple and complex care needs relating to Tissue Viability.

To deliver patient care on a daily basis, using the systems in place with in the Tissue Viability Service for a multi-disciplinary approach to patient-centred care delivery for their tissue viability needs, which builds on the philosophy of greater involvement of patients and their relatives/carers by using the Trusts patient and public involvement strategy.

To demonstrate good interpersonal skills and to develop practical skills required within the speciality.

Experienced Band 5 post holders will also provide effective clinical and managerial leadership of the department, in the absence of the senior members of the team, which empowers staff to deliver patient- centred, evidence based nursing care
