Transport Booker

Job summary

An exciting opportunity for a transport booker to join our friendly team.

You will be responsible for coordination/booking of all non-emergency Patient Transport Services (PTS), liaising with staff working across all areas of the Trust to ensure that the PTS eligibility criteria is adhered to.

Main duties of the job

Deal with day-to-day correspondence, initiating appropriate responses to provide patients, staff and other parties with required information in a friendly and professional manner.

Receive telephone calls, accepting messages on behalf of members of the team, taking appropriate action where necessary.

Participate in team and Trust meetings as requested.

To request, plan and co-ordinate patient transport services across the Somerset system.
