Job summary

The role of Clinic Prep and Registration Clerk provides an essential support service in the continuing care of patients, ensuring patients details are accurately registered within our electronic and paper records and co-ordinating the timely availability of patient records to support outpatient clinics and appointments

Main duties of the job

Respond to email and telephone registration requestsCreate and update electronic and paper patient recordsWork with the medical records library team to coordinate timely availability of medical records for daily clinicsUse the electronic tracking system to locate and track patient paper records to and from internal departments and external organisations in preparation for Outpatient clinics and patient hospital attendancesPrepare and tidy patient paper records ready for clinical useEnsure accurate electronic tracing of patient records

  • Use of office equipment ie computers photocopier telephones scanners
