Job summary
Are you an experienced, motivated musculoskeletal (MSK) physiotherapist looking for a new challenge as part of a dynamic, innovative and supportive team?
We have the perfect opportunity for you. Due to maternity leave a Band 7 MSK Hub Lead role has become available in the Mendip Hub.
This role involves having overall responsibility for the management of the Physiotherapy service for the Hub, providing leadership, including organisation, delegation, and individual line management of team members, working closely with the Department and APP Hub lead in the area.
The role will allow you to take an active part in the development of the MSk Physiotherapy service, focusing on innovation, improving standards of care, audits and colleague development. You will maintain a clinical caseload of at least 50%.
You will be joining a motivated team of a Band 4 exercise instructor, Band 5 and 6 physiotherapists and osteopaths, supported by Enhanced and Advanced Physiotherapy Practitioners visiting the departments. You will work closely with the Leadership team and lead on the delivery of timely and consistently high-quality care.
Main duties of the job
To have an overall responsibility for the operational management of the MSk Physiotherapy service for the Hub.
To provide leadership for the MSk Physiotherapy Hub, including organisation, delegation to outpatient department leads and individual line management of team members.
To take an active role in the development of the service and colleagues within the Hub, linking with the APP Hub Lead.
To link proactively with colleagues, within the Hub and other Hub leads, to ensure the smooth running of the service.
To maintain a clinical caseload of approximately 50%
To provide a high standard of physiotherapy services to outpatients referred by consultants, GP's, other HCP's and urgent care facilities.
To take and active role in the supervision, teaching and appraisal of senior and junior therapy colleagues, exercise instructors and students.
