Job summary
To support elective care management by ensuring that waiting lists are clean and accurate, that RTT rules are followed and patients are managed efficiently.
Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to present all work to a high standard of accuracy and to complete tasks in a timely manner. The key duties are set out as follows:
*Maintain knowledge and understanding of national and local guidance around RTT rules
*Support the RTT Validators in management of their generic inboxes, including the Inter- Provider Transfer (IPT) mailbox
*Respond to internal queries raised through the inbox, liaising with RTT validators as required
*Respond to external Trusts who have IPT queries received in the RTT mailbox and ensure any IPTs received are on the PAS systems.
*Validate IPT forms to ensure start and RTT status is correct before sending to receiving Trust.
*Attend meetings regarding RTT where needed
*Support with maintaining records of patients that have deferred treatment
*Any other administrative tasks that will support the RTT validators

- Good standard of education with English and Maths to GCSE 4 or above or equivalent
- Vocational, NVQ level 3 Business Studies or equivalent or demonstrate relevant experience
- Vocational, NVQ level 2 or equivalent or demonstrate relevant experience willing to complete level 3 within agree time scale
- On-the-job training of administrative systems (IMS Maxims), admission, patient information systems, hospital departments, clerical / office procedures, data input procedures
Experience

- Experience of using Excel or other data manipulation tools

- Experience in an information or performance management role
