Job summary
We have an exciting opportunity to recruit a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist in Stroke to our community stroke service, you will be based in the east of the county but will have a foundation trust wide remit alongside the other clinical specialist physiotherapist in the west of the county.
The successful candidate will provide specialist physiotherapy clinical leadership for the development of integrated rehabilitation pathways for stroke and brain injury, in line with recognised best practice and the evidence base, and in conjunction with Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapists for Stroke, Adult Rehabilitation Clinical Lead/ Professional Leads and Stroke Service managers.

Our multi-disciplinary team of Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Nurses, Speech and Language Therapists, Psychologists, and Rehabilitation Assistants collaborates seamlessly to support patients along the stroke pathway, making a meaningful difference in their lives. To provide specialist physiotherapy clinical leadership for the development of integrated rehabilitation pathways for stroke and brain injury, in line with recognised best practice and the evidence base, and in conjunction with Clinical Specialist Occupational Therapists for Stroke, Adult Rehabilitation Clinical Lead/ Professional Leads and Stroke Service managers.
The post will be approximately fifty percent clinical caseload, with the post holder carrying a specialist clinical caseload at their base location as member of a specialist multidisciplinary stroke team. The clinical specialist responsibilities will have a Foundation Trust wide remit ensuring that service developments are in line with national and local directives.
