Job summary
An opportunity has arisen for a matron in our Surgical Services group covering both Musgrove Park Hospital and Yeovil District Hospital.
We are seeking an individual who is highly motivated, dynamic, flexible who can provide compassionate leadership, leading by example and developing our teams within the service group. The successful candidate will be working alongside the current operational and theatre matrons, service managers and senior medical colleagues as part of the Surgical Service Group leadership team. You will be required to take on operational responsibilities and support the flow of surgical patients both emergency and elective. The role includes ensuring safe staffing across the surgical wards and specialty teams within surgery to provide high quality evidenced based care.
