Job summary
Are you a band 5 nurse looking to progress?Our Wells district nurse team is looking for an enthusiastic, dynamic nurse to lead them while their current leader is seconded into another post.This opportunity is for approximately 17 months, based at West Mendip hospital.As a fully integrated trust, we can offer a collaborative approach to your career with us, meaning you will work alongside 2 other team leads and a clinical lead for support, we also work closely with CRS, OPMH, GP surgeries and wider neighbourhood services.We value our RGNs highly, so development and training within this role will be offered and prioritised. There is an expectation that hours are worked flexibly over a rota basis which does include evenings and weekends.You will require good communication skills, a team work approach and be able provide a high standard of nursing care while supporting your team.Informal visits/chats always welcome - contact us today to discuss the position in more detail or organise for you to come and visit!
Main duties of the job
To support the team clinically and manage the day to day running of the team while being supported by the area manager and senior team members.
To provide and maintain a high standard of evidence based, patient centred care. To demonstrate good interpersonal skills and to develop practical skills required within the speciality, whist reflecting the philosophy of care.To deliver patient care on a daily basis, using the systems in place in the department for a multi-disciplinary approach to patient-centred care delivery, which builds on the philosophy of greater involvement of patients and their relatives/carers by using the Trusts patient and public involvement strategy.
