Job summary
The role of the Clinical lead for Adult Audiology is to support the Audiology Manager in the delivery and development of all Clinical aspects of a comprehensive Audiology service including teaching, assessing, clinical governance and auditing of all services for patients with hearing and balance disorders.
Main duties of the job
The post holder is responsible for the clinical delivery of Audiology Services for Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.
To deputise managerial workload and responsibilities in the absence of Audiology Manager
Responsible for the management and delivery of all aspects of clinical Audiology within the service.
This post holder will be an experienced Audiologist/hearing therapist. This post will incorporate a broad range of clinical activities, some of which are complex and demand a high degree of individual responsibility. These include hearing therapy, complex adult assessment and rehabilitation. There may be further development to support the department in gaining IQIPs accreditation. The post holder will be expected to have high professional standards and be adaptive to change. It is the responsibility of the post-holder to comply with and contribute to the strategic direction of the Audiology Services as planned by the Audiology Manager and the Somerset NHS Foundation Trust.
