Job summary

Are you a highly organised and proactive individual looking for an exciting role in a healthcare setting? We are seeking a Radiology Navigator to join our Radiology team at Yeovil District Hospital. In this vital role, you will monitor and track patient pathways, ensuring timely diagnostic imaging and efficient coordination of care.

Main duties of the job

As a Radiology Navigator, you will work closely with clinical and administrative teams to ensure that patients move smoothly through their diagnostic imaging journey, particularly for cancer and urgent care pathways. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Monitoring patient referrals and ensuring compliance with 18-week and cancer pathway targets
  • Acting as a central point of contact for enquiries related to radiology cancer pathways
  • Identifying and resolving delays in patient pathways to ensure timely care
  • Engaging with patients who may require additional support to attend appointments
  • Liaising with healthcare professionals, including clinicians, radiologists, and MDT coordinators
  • Assisting with booking specialist cases, such as MRI GA and pacemaker patients
