We have an Occupational Therapist opportunity within North Sedgemoor
We are looking for dynamic and inspiring Occupational Therapist to join the Community rehabilitation service.
You will gain an in depth understanding of community working and supporting people within their own homes.
Successful candidates will be directly supported by a Senior Occupational Therapist and Advanced Practitioner/Clinical Specialist within the team.
You will play an integral part of the Community Rehabilitation Team, managing a diverse community caseload including orthopaedics, frail elderly, post-surgery and neurological long-term conditions. You will have opportunities to support students and be involved in regular training and peer support. We are part of an innovative neighbourhood model with close links with district nurses, mental health teams, community agents and adult social care staff as well as the rapid response and hospital at home teams.
Main duties of the job
You will be expected to carry out specific therapy assessments which will include goal setting and treatment planning, assessing risk, promoting and enabling independent functioning. You will be committed to a person-centered approach to your work, have an ability to prioritise and work flexibly.
