Job summary

The post holder will use expert clinical knowledge to engage, influence and coach teams to support the delivery of the aims within the clinical care and support strategy.

To work with the service group directors and service leads to support transformational change projects and to support the implementation of the clinical care and support strategy without compromising operational delivery.

Main duties of the job

To continue the development of and drive the implementation of the clinical care and support strategy for the Trust, ensuring it is accessible to colleagues within the Trust and system partners. To ensure the aims and shared vision for the clinical care and support strategy is actively promoted across all system stakeholders. The clinical care and support strategy must be kept relevant and in line with current national policy and strategy and best local, national and international evidence, whilst delivering for the population of Somerset.

To collaborate with system partners to ensure the clinical care and support strategy and implementation is cohesive for service users and best uses the resources within Somerset. The implementation of the clinical care and support strategy will require transformational change to ensure it is patient focused and sustainable against a backdrop of increasing demand and substantial efficiency requirements.

Essential

  • Masters degree or masters level knowledge acquired through experience at this level
  • A managerial or professional qualification or formal training in the relevant field i.e. leadership, clinical quality improvement and or project management
  • Extensive experience of working within project, programme or change environment
  • Has practical knowledge and experience in change management

Desirable

  • Current registrant as required by HCPC/NMC

  • Ability to lead strategic change and to work effectively across boundaries
  • Ability to demonstrate significant experience of working in the health, social care settings or other relevant settings
