Job summary

We are seeking to recruit a highly motivated, conscientious receptionist to join our administration team at Chard Community Hospital.

Flexibility to cover shifts across a 7 day rota between the hours of 8am-9pm is essential. You must have previous receptionist experience, possess excellent customer service, administrative and IT skills.

We require a conscientious candidate who can work under pressure and is eager to learn.

You must also have good communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide a friendly and efficient front desk service.An outgoing personality, approachability and a professional demeanour is essential as you will be the initial point of contact for our patients and visitors as well as assisting consultants and other hospital staff.Full training for the post, and a uniform, will be provided.

Main duties of the job

To assist with the smooth running of the reception and administrative requirements of the hospital. To provide administrational support and assistance to other departments and at the direction of the Matron or Senior Administrator.

  • Knowledge of RIO, Maxims and Oceano.
