Job summary
An exciting opportunity to work at Musgrove Park Hospital as a Band six Deputy Manager on Hestercombe North which specialises in Gastroenterology. There will be training provided for the newly appointed deputy ward manager to help develop their role. There is expectation that hours are worked flexible over a rota. basis. The Role is part time twenty three hours, however if you were looking for full time hours the remaining hours can be made up in a band five role.
You will require good communication skills, a team work approach and be able provide a high standard of nursing care with the support of your team.

This advert is open to registered Nurses with a least two years experience.
Main duties of the job
To provide and maintain a high standard of evidence based, patient centred care. To demonstrate good interpersonal skills and to develop practical skills required within the speciality, whist reflecting the philosophy of care.To deliver patient care on a daily basis, using the systems in place in the department for a multi-disciplinary approach to patient-centred care delivery, which builds on the philosophy of greater involvement of patients and their relatives/carers by using the Trusts patient and public involvement strategy.Experienced post holders will also provide effective clinical and managerial leadership of the department, in the absence of the senior members of the team, which empowers staff to deliver patient- centred, evidence based nursing care
