Job summary
Are you a dedicated Pharmacy Technician with a passion for education and training? Somerset NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly motivated individual to lead and coordinate the education and training of our Pharmacy Technicians and Support Staff at Yeovil District Hospital.
Main duties of the job
- Lead the development and implementation of education and training strategies for pharmacy technicians and support staff in line with national standards.
- Organise, develop, and oversee formal training programs including apprenticeship schemes and qualifications in areas such as Medicines Optimisation and Final Accuracy Checking.
- Collaborate with senior pharmacy staff and external healthcare providers to enhance training programs and ensure they meet departmental needs.
- Provide mentorship and supervision to trainees, ensuring they meet their educational targets.
- Act as the line manager for apprentice pharmacy technicians and pharmacy assistants.

- TAQA, A1 or equivalent Assessor qualification, CAVA
- Accuracy checking qualification or willing to work towards.
Desirable
