Job summary
An exciting and rewarding opportunity has arisen for a highly professional and motivated Registered Nurse to join our dynamic, forward thinking multi-specialty Outpatient Team.
We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic individual who is passionate about delivering high quality patient centred care. You will work as part of a cohesive team providing support to patients within a variety of clinics including Rheumatology, Dermatology, Respiratory medicine and ENT at Chard Community Hospital.

Main duties of the job
Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating programmes of evidenced-based nursing care to a group of patients.
Actively contribute to setting and maintaining high standards of quality nursing care.
Act as Nurse in Charge coordinating shifts daily, supporting all members of the Outpatients team.
Act as a clinical and professional role model, assessing and supporting students and learners on placement within the clinical area.
This role can involve frequent walking and standing for long periods of time. The post holder must have the physical capability to use manual handling equipment i.e. hoists, trolleys and wheelchairs.
You will be supported and encouraged to undertake training to ensure you are competent in a variety of clinics within the Outpatient Department, including undertaking training to become a Light Therapist and other nurse led clinics as in line with service demand.
You may be required to work in other designated locations of the Trust as well as your primary base. In particular, flexibility is required across the community hospital sites. Travel reimbursement would apply for a permanent or temporary change of base.
