Job summary

The Podiatry Team at Somerset NHS Foundation Trust are working collaboratively across Somerset to deliver whole pathway integration for the high-risk foot. We are looking for a highly skilled Clinical Specialist Podiatrist specialising in MSK Biomechanics to join our dynamic team.

We welcome applications from Podiatrists without any previous Band 7 experience who are looking to progress in their career and are enthusiastic for transforming and improving care. Line management training and support will be given.

Main duties of the job

As a Clinical Specialist Podiatrist in MSK Biomechanics, you'll provide clinical expertise in the treatment of musculoskeletal (MSk) biomechanics foot problems within our multi-chair hubs, working with our committed and enthusiastic teams, serving a diverse range of patients.

Using your specialist knowledge and skills you will help develop preventative foot protection strategies and improve patient access to the right care, by the right person, at the right time.

You'll work to embed MSk biomechanics within the service and play a key role in the education and supervision of junior members of the Podiatry team. Providing day-to-day professional leadership, you'll ensure the needs of patients are placed at the centre of care delivery while providing the highest standards of clinical care. You'll carry some operational management duties and play an active role in our Leadership Team.
