Job summary

Are you an experienced and motivated MSK/Pelvic Health physiotherapist looking for a new challenge as part of a dynamic, innovative and supportive pelvic health team?

Then we have an exciting opportunity for you to become a Band 6 Pelvic Health Physiotherapist within our Team.

You will work closely with our highly skilled and experienced Band 7/8 Pelvic Health Physiotherapists who will be responsible for clinically leading the development and provision of Pelvic Health Physiotherapy services. You'll be supported by the Pelvic Health Team giving you the opportunity to enhance your specialist skills to treat men and women with pelvic health conditions.

Main duties of the job

As a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist and after a period of training, you'll work as an autonomous practitioner and provide specialised assessment and intervention within the speciality of pelvic health conditions, including patients who may have highly complex presentations, with the aim of facilitating short and long term self-management approaches to their condition

You'll also be required to support, teach and appraise more junior staff and support student physiotherapists, as appropriate.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Degree/diploma level education leading to Registration by the Health Professions Council (UK) as a Physiotherapist
  • Evidence of relevant and up to date post graduate training in the relevant area
  • Relevant validated clinical courses.

Desirable

  • Member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy
  • Evidence of undertaking POGP course
  • Evidence of shadowing or CPD in Pelvic Health

Experience

Essential

  • Substantial experience within NHS clinical skills encompassing the core areas of exercise therapy, management of pain relief, mobility training and therapeutic handling
  • Sound assessment skills with clinical reasoning and analytical ability
  • Ability to manage own caseload and prioritise workload pressures
