Job summary

The role will be required to provide efficient and effective administrative duties to the Sedgemoor integrated teams which includes the District Nurses, Community Rehabilitation Service and Older Persons Mental Health.The team member will also provide flexible administrative support to the Integrated Hub, this will include answering calls from the general public, hospitals and other Health Care Professionals.The post requires flexibility and the ability to provide a wide range of administrative duties as the services develop. You will be required to provide administrative support across all of our 6 bases within Sedgemoor. Therefore, access transport is essential.

Main duties of the job

Deal with day-to-day correspondence, initiating appropriate responses to provide patients, staff and other parties with required information in a friendly and professional manner.

Ordering of stores and processing of deliveries and stock rotation.Receive telephone calls, accepting messages on behalf of members of the specialty team, taking appropriate action where necessary whilst on the hub.Liaise with appropriate personnel in the team to gather and co-ordinate patient information so this is accessible in a timely mannerProcess urgent referrals and arrange appropriate outpatient appointments in the community and ambulatory clinic.Participate in team and Trust meetings as requested.

Organising servicing and repairs of equipment.

  • RSA Stage III word processing/typing or equivalent/NVQ 3 business and administration or working towards within agreed time scale

Experience

  • Knowledge of information technology packages including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Evidence standard of a good of Literacy / English language skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
