With the role out of First Contact Practitioner (FCP) roles across the country, we have an excellent track record for mentoring developement for career progression through to FCP, as well as advanced practise roles in Orthopaedic clinics, ED and Primary care.
This role would be suitable as a developmental role into a Band 6 position.
Main duties of the job
This role will see and treat complex musculoskeletal injuries as an autonomous practitioner.
Undertake clinics within the Musculoskeletal Service assessing new referrals from GP's, consultants and other physiotherapists.
To supervise and support Band 5 Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Band 3 Rehab assistants and students.
To communicate very complex clinical information both written and verbal, in an easily understood form to patients, carers, and all members of the multi-disciplinary team.
Specific duties will be discussed at interview to meet service requirement.

- To have completed rotations in core skills areas at post graduate level (Respiratory / MSK / Neurology)
- Evidence of CPD since graduating
- Evidence of working within acute medicine
- Evidence of teaching / supervision skills with other junior members of staff / students

- Unsupervised weekend working and on call duties
- Evidence of multidisciplinary team working.
