Job summary
Would you like to gain valuable customer care experience working for the NHS within our Radiology Department Central Bookings Centre?.
We are looking for 3 Bookings Co-ordinators to join our team to book radiology appointments across modalities such as plain film x-rays, and bone densitometry (DEXA) scans.
The team is committed to working together to provide the best possible service to our patients, in a friendly supportive environment.
This is a very busy role with high volume calls and would suit a customer care driven individual who has the ability to cope with the demands of the service and work effectively as a team member.

Main duties of the job
The role is to provide a high quality booking service for patients referred for Radiology (scans/x-rays) across modalities such as plain film x-rays and bone densitometry. This may also include CT, MRI and ultrasound scans.
On a day-to-day basis to schedule NHS and private patient appointments balancing clinical priority, patient needs and service requirements against national waiting time standards, including the 2-week wait cancer service.
Booking appointments across multiple sites including Musgrove Park, Bridgwater, Minehead, West Mendip, Wellington, Chard, Taunton Diagnostic Centre, and any Mobile Van Units. Appointments are booked via high volume inbound/outbound telephone calls or can be face to face communication with the patient/carer/clinical team or sending letters/emails.
It is expected that the post holder will work with support from their direct colleagues and team leader.
