Job summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic candidate to join the innovative Data Analytics team at Somerset Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will aid in the provision of routine reporting, business intelligence dashboards, and the creation of actionable insights to help improve patient care for the population of Somerset.

It's an exciting time to join the team as we are investing in the Trust's brand new data infrastructure, embracing open source tools such as Python, R, and Git, and enhancing the training and professionalisation offerings for our analysts.

This role offers a hybrid model of work with a minimum of 1 day per week in the Taunton or Yeovil office.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will be required to:

  • Provide operational support for a wide range of reports and dashboards to support the business needs of the Trust.
  • Submit routine statutory, contractual and routine reports to deadlines, and works with the reporting leads to ensure the accuracy of the reports.
  • Produce reports using a variety of analytics tools, including managing and maintaining pre-built SQL scripts.
  • Respond to requests in a timely manner and present reports in a way that is relevant and meaningful to their end audience.
  • Proactively continues the development of own technical skills in order to support the team and information needs of the Trust.
