We are currently recruiting to a Facilities Service Assistant position at Wellington Community Hospital.

We have available working hours Monday - Friday. The hours are likely to be between 07.00-19.00 but the hours may need to be flexible to cover sickness and holidays etc. In turn we can offer flexibility should you need it.

Main duties of the job

The main duties of the role will be in the housekeeping and portering departments.

The role involves cleaning departments within the Hospital such as outpatients, toilets, meeting rooms, and offices. You'll occasionally need to support in the removal of waste, movement of supplies, acceptance of deliveries.

You'll help to play a key role in our ongoing fight against hospital acquired infections by ensuring that the hospital is cleaned on a regular basis to a consistently high standard and make a valuable contribution in the wider care team that supports a patient during their time in hospital.

Previous experience would be an advantage but is not essential, as full training and support will be provided.
