Job summary
Are you an experienced Dietitian looking for a Band 6 post to develop your skills in specialist clinical care as well as in supervision/leadership and service improvement?

We have a range of exciting opportunities for experienced Dietitians in the following specialist areas:
- Surgery and Gastroenterology - maternity cover for 12 months (with a possibility of extension)
- Stroke and Diabetes - permanent post
- Oncology - permanent post

Main duties of the job
Working with a team of Dietitians and Dietetic support staff, you will provide a dietetic service to adult inpatient wards within a specialist area. This will involve not just providing the clinical care but also taking responsibility for service improvement across these designated wards.
You will also work alongside our Band 7 Specialist Dietitians and the Multidisciplinary Teams to provide dietetic care to patients with an area of speciality including covering outpatient clinics and delivering education/training.
About us
You will become a part of a friendly, welcoming, growing team of Dietitians, Dietetic Apprentices, Dietetic Assistants,Nutrition Nurses and Administrative staff on the acute site at Musgrove Park Hospital as well as our dietetic colleagues at Yeovil District Hospital and the Community team.
We take Student Dietitians from Plymouth University for A, B and C placements, and actively encourage training and CPD. As a service we provide Bank Holiday cover to inpatients and work flexibly to provide clinical cover to specialist areas.
