Job summary
The Restorative Dentistry Pathway Navigator (RDPN) will support the Dental Team in proactively tracking patients in treatment with Head & Neck Cancer, Hypodontia, Cleft Lip & Palte and severe trauma to ensure they are appropriately managed and there is no delay in their treatment pathway.
The RDPN will work very closely with a variety of teams, including the Clinician, Nursing, Secretarial and Outpatient Teams.
The post holder will be responsible for creating and monitoring a database of Restorative patients to support their clinical pathway in ensuring they are booked in the appropriate time frame for their treatment series and clinical review appointments.
On occasion, there will also be the possibility of working from home.

Main duties of the job
The role of the RDPN is to provide organisation support to the Dental Team, as well as providing a facilitative service for patients by:
- Co-ordinating the pathways of each Restorative patient on behalf of the directorate, with clinical decisions being supported by the patient's individual responsible clinician (consultant in charge of advising the patient on their care).
- Develop a robust Restorative patient Tracker to ensure all appropriate patients are tracked.
- Monitor Restorative Patients and ensure that they are seen and followed up in the expected timeframes and to raise with the clinical team if patients are not achieving this.
You must have good attention to detail together with the ability to prioritise your own workload to meet deadlines, have proven administration experience as well as being flexible and able to work as part of a team.
