This is Job is being advertised as band 2 but has the option to progress to a band 3 or will consider taking on a current band 3 for the right person

Main duties of the job

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Discharge Lounge Team based in the Musgrove Park Hospital, as a Health Care Assistant The team supports patients while they await transport once they have been discharged or being transferred to a Community Hospital, you would be responsible for delivering fundamentals of care and maintaining patient safety. You will also be responsible for transferring patients from the ward to the Discharge Lounge, ensuring that all their belongings, medication and relevant documentation is transferred with them.

Ensuring patients have a positive experience while they are awaiting transport is vital, as this will be the last impression they receive of their patient journey
