The endoscopy unit here at Yeovil is a JAG accredited service with excellent patient feed back. The team are dynamic and committed to quality care for all patients.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for trained or willing to train Endoscopy Staff Nurse.
Yeovil Hospital sits within the beautiful county of Somerset, the unit is progressive with many new and exciting service developments, accredited by the joint advisory group for GI endoscopy .
The successful candidate will work within a successful team supporting the patient and Endoscopist, the team also undertake telephone pre-assessment , admission , procedure, recovery and discharge.
Main duties of the job
The successful candidate will need to support the Endoscopist undertake various endoscopy procedures, to care for the patient peri-operatively inclusive of nurse led discharge, pre-assess patient's over the phone prior to admission, to work with the team to provide emergency endoscopy , undertake training as required and peer review, work with various clinical and non clinical teams, willing and able to work flexibly
The team currently work Monday to Friday with voluntary weekends, this might in the future change .
Training is available for the right candidate both in house and externally, there are various online platforms available and an excellent academy onsite
