Job summary
The applicant will be responsible for assessing clients at Magistrates Court and will share appropriate health information with the Criminal Justice System and other agencies to inform decision making and to ensure health needs are being met.
The postholder will ensure the service responds professionally to all requests for assistance and information, using discretion as to appropriateness of requests and being aware of confidentiality and information sharing guidelines at all times.
You will be responsible on a given day for an allocated service area (court); to ensure that people presenting to you are offered an assessment to consider potentially complex health and social care needs. Within your allocated service area, to manage the day-to-day workload in your clinical area, supporting and facilitating the work of support worker staff (including peer support workers), including providing advice, guidance, and a clear and accessible route for further risk - or clinical escalation.
Main duties of the job
To work as an autonomous Practitioner within the Somerset Magistrates Courts undertaking all vulnerability comprehensive assessments of individuals in the designated care group with complex health and social presentations, including those service users presenting with higher levels of risk, or more serious offending.
