Job summary

To provide specialist knowledge and expertise in clinical supervision. The person will be responsible for leading and implementing the Directorate clinical supervision strategy. Including the development, delivery and evaluation of clinical supervision training. The person will use a quality improvement methodology to drive change and demonstrate impact on service provision.

Main duties of the job

To organise and undertake teaching and training in clinical supervision skills as agreed with both professional and operational managers, working strategically to maintain staffing levels (succession planning) and skill-base in the service through such training.

Provide clinical leadership within local teams to ensure that high standards of practice are maintained and developed, in accordance with individual roles and responsibilities.

Ensure that standards of care are maintained in line with national and local guidelines

Ensure that policies are adhered to regarding care planning, care pathways, referrals and discharge planning, risk assessment and risk management.
