Job summary
Are you a Healthcare Support Worker seeking a step up?
We are looking for an experienced Healthcare Support Worker to join our Outpatient team. You will be responsible for supporting the Registered Nurses with the smooth running of a wide range of clinics for adults and children within the department, under the overall supervision of the Lead Nurse and Senior Sister.
You'll be a great communicator, as you'll be providing a welcoming service to patients. You'll be responsible for one or more clinics each day, to include phlebotomy, assisting Consultants and Specialist Nurses with procedures including the use of specialised equipment, close observation of patients following procedures and the support of patients and their families whilst within the department.

Main duties of the job
You will be required to work Monday to Friday flexibly between 08:00 to 18:00.
You will also be required to travel to Minehead Community Hospital to under go induction and training so being a car driver is essential.

Recent experience of working within a clinic environment is desirable but not essential. You must possess good verbal and written communication skills, have high clinical standards and the ability to work as part of a team.
