Job summary
This role is for a member of the Portering services at Musgrove Park Hospital.
It covers the full range of normal Portering tasks consisting of moving patients around the site to the wards and departments so the applicant will need to be able to walk long distances for the entire shift.
Main duties of the job
This work includes transferring patients to the mortuary and responding to urgent requests for help such as Fire response and helicopter landing team.
The role involves a significant amount of face to face contact with both other staff, patients and visitors to the site.
This is a full 24/7 shift pattern position, including nights and weekends.
